Syracuse, N.Y. — Several hundred students flooded the quad at Syracuse University on a chilly but sunny Friday afternoon for a pre-party ahead of the Block Party concert at the Carrier Dome.

Students were treated to food trucks -- including Bird Song Cafe and Toss ‘n Fire Pizza -- a bounce house, human foosball, a silent disco and a build-your-own teddy bear station.

The party took place ahead of a concert Friday night at the Carrier Dome from rappers 2Chainz and Baby Keem. Two weeks ago, the event’s original headliner, Gunna, pulled out of the show, according to reports from The Daily Orange newspaper. Rapper 2Chainz replaced Gunna.

2Chainz also performed at SU’s Block Party in 2014, when he opened for Russian-German EDM DJ Zedd.

Friday’s Block Party doubled as the 60th anniversary celebration of University Union, SU’s student programming board. See more photos from the event in the gallery above.
