A school that held a "no backpack day" saw students improvise and stash their stuff in a range of wild items, including shopping carts, trash cans and laundry hampers.
Ekonomik Tarnowskie Góry, a middle school in Poland, decided to task pupils with a different kind of homework—finding something to store their books and belongings in that wasn't a traditional rucksack.
The teens rose to the challenge, with a hilarious TikTok video shared to the school's account, @ekonomiktg, showing off the weird and wonderful receptacles the students came up with.
The clip, which can be seen here, was shared earlier this month, and said in the on-screen text: "No backpack day,"
It filmed youngsters in the hallways and classrooms, with one captured trying to wrestle a full-size shopping trolley through a door.

Someone else opted for a food delivery bag, not dissimilar to what Deliveroo drivers carry, others went for a violin case, while a laundry hamper and a paint tin were spied.
One girl opted for a potentially controversial beer case, another student brought a suitcase on wheels, and one person decided to bring a trash can, which we hope they cleaned out first.
A paddling pool made an appearance, as did a cat bed, a tool box and a kid's toy. The novel items delighted the internet, with the video amassing more than 9 million views.
People were quick to vote for their favorite replacement backpack, as Bel Mitchell joked: "The person with the suitcase was ready for holiday after school."
Jamie Callaghan pointed out: "Dude with the shopping cart wins however I hope all his classes r on the same floor."
Jarda Džarda Kubásek agreed, saying: "Guy with the shopping cart killed it ."
And Misbah added: "The dude w the shopping cart understood the assignment."
ZalaMalina thought: "Toolbox the best."
Friddle's cakes raved: "This is brilliant."
"Kid with suitcase... future engineer," A said.
Lusylondon wrote: "I want to go to this school."

It's not clear why the school decided to ditch rucksacks for the day, but it seems everyone enjoyed thinking outside the box.
The school's Facebook page shared another video, saying: "That's how it was. Great action. Everyone liked it."
A school in Idaho banned backpacks in September, in response to two separate incidents involving guns.
Rigby Middle School made the decision after a teen was found in the restroom with a firearm, it was reported.
A statement shared on the Jefferson School District 251 Facebook page, from Superintendent Chad Martin, at the time said: "Effective immediately, backpacks will no longer be allowed at Rigby Middle School, Farnsworth Middle School, and both Rigby and Jefferson High Schools.
"We ask that you partner with us in keeping all of our students safe. Please keep your firearms safe and inaccessible to students. If you notice changes in your student's behavior, attire, or personality notify us so we can help your student."
According to the Associated Press, on May 6 two students and one adult suffered non-life threatening injuries after a pupil opened fire.
The day after the shooting, Martin shared another statement to Facebook, saying: "The events that took place yesterday are something that every educator and parent fears and hopes never to experience. However, tragedy seems to bring out the good in many and that is definitely the case with our community. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families."
