Food delivery driver robbed, vehicle stolen in Oak Park: Police – Chicago Tribune

The following items were taken from area police department reports and news releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

Unlawful use of a weapon

Donnell Wyatt, 18, of the 10000 block of South Lafayette Avenue, Chicago, on Sept. 8 was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon in the 900 block of North Boulevard.

Jhamaar Caldwell, 32, of the 400 block of South Harvey Avenue, Oak Park, on Sept. 7 was charged with criminal trespass to auto in the 200 block of Washington Boulevard.

William Roberson, 57, of the 1000 block of South Lombard Avenue, Oak Park, on Sept. 3 was arrested for violation of an order of protection in the 1000 block of South Lombard Avenue.

Jurmon Minniefield, 27, of the 1600 block of North Newcastle Avenue, Chicago, on Sept. 2 was arrested in the 900 block of North Austin Boulevard on an active warrant out of DuPage County for driving on a suspended license.

The interior of a Hyundai parked in the 700 block of South Grove Avenue on Sept. 7 was reported ransacked. Estimated loss was $300.

Two bicycles, a kid’s helmet and carrier bicycle attachment were reported stolen Sept. 1 from the garage of a home in the 900 block of North Oak Park Avenue. Estimated loss was $920.

The interior of an unlocked 2018 GMC Sierra parked in the 900 block of North Taylor Avenue on Sept. 7 was reported ransacked.

A backpack containing a small caliber firearm, holster, ID, cologne and a bottle of cognac was reported stolen Sept. 5 from an Infiniti JX35 parked in the 00 block of Erie Court. Estimated loss was $1,950.

Keys were reported stolen Sept. 2 from an unlocked 2008 Honda Accord parked in the 800 block of South Elmwood Avenue.

Cash was reported stolen Sept. 2 from a Mercedes Benz GLC300 parked in the 300 block of North Cuyler Avenue. Estimated loss was $100.

A driver’s license, debit/credit cards and cash were reported stolen Aug. 29 from an unlocked Kia Forte parked in the 1000 block of Randolph Street. Estimated loss was $30.

The front and east side of a home in the 900 block of Linden Avenue on Sept. 7 were reported defaced with red spray paint.

Jeridan LaGrone, 35, of the 00 block of South Kedzie Avenue, Chicago, on Sept. 5 was charged with retail theft in the 1100 block of South Boulevard.

A 2003 Honda Accord was reported stolen Sept. 7 when someone entered the unlocked vehicle parked in the 200 block of South Maple Avenue and used the valet key in the center console to take the vehicle. Estimated loss was $3,000. The car was recovered in the 5100 block of West Lexington Street in Chicago.

A secured bicycle was reported stolen Sept. 6 from a rack in the 200 block of North Scoville Avenue. Estimated loss was $580.

An unattended backpack containing a pair of shoes, a laptop and a clarinet was reported stolen Sept. 6 from the front entrance of Percy Julian Middle School, 416 S. Ridgeland Ave. Estimated loss was $637.

An electric bicycle secured to the porch of a home in the 400 block of North Austin Boulevard was reported stolen Sept. 4. Estimated loss was $2,000.

The registration sticker was reported stolen off the rear license plate of a vehicle parked Sept. 4 in the 700 block of Oak Park Avenue. Estimated loss was $120.

A 2018 Hyundai Elantra on Sept. 3 was reported stolen from the 300 block of Harrison Street. Estimated loss was $15,000.

A 2019 Mercedes GLE63S with the keys left inside was reported stolen Sept. 2 from the garage of a home in the 1100 block of Clarence Avenue. The vehicle was reported recovered by Chicago police in the 8800 block of South Ada Street on Sept. 3.

A shade umbrella was reported stolen Sept. 1 from the rear yard of a home in the 400 block of Greenfield Street. Estimated loss as $50.

A 2013 Lexus GS350 and a notebook smartphone were reported stolen Sept. 2 from the 1000 block of North Boulevard when the owner, a food delivery driver, was reportedly attacked by four individual who went through the owner’s pockets, took the keys and the smartphone and fled in the vehicle. Estimated loss was $25,800. The car was reported recovered Sept. 6 in Forest Park.
