SPOKANE, Wash.– So far we’ve seen cloudy skies and sprinkles in the Inland Northwest on Monday. Isolated thunder will continue through lunchtime around the Blue Mountains, L-C Valley, and Camas Prairie. Spokane and Coeur d’Alene will stay cloudy but dry into the lunch hours. As we get into lunch and the early afternoon an isolated storm or two may pop up around the I-90 corridor.

More isolated storms will crop up in the northern mountains and near the Montana state line in the afternoon and early evening. Elsewhere we’ll see the sun come out by the evening commute.

Temperatures will be cooler than what we saw this weekend thanks to the clouds and storms. Highs in many areas will only hit the mid to upper 80s. We will hit the 90s in the L-C Valley and Columbia Basin.

With a bigger storm system in the region this week, expect at least some isolated storms every day this week. Temperatures will remain far more comfortable than last week too. Wednesday will have more widespread storm coverage and is the one day later this week you may want to have the rain gear handy.
