Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime and arrests through Sept. 5, 2022.

A person was the victim of a Burglary Conveyance on 09/05/2022. The victim reported that sometime overnight unknown person(s) broke into his unlocked vehicle and stole his firearm, a Taurus G2C 9MM. The vehicle was parked in a parking lot. Tot. Est. Loss: $420.

A person was the victim of Criminal Mischief on 09/01/2022. The victim alleged that an unknown Domino’s driver damaged her vehicle after not receiving a tip.

Two people were the subject of a Death Investigation on 09/01/2022. The couple was found unconscious and unresponsive by a family member after the male victim did not show up to work. Crime Scene and Homicide units responded. M.E took jurisdiction. No additional details were released.

An incident of extortion was reported on 08/31/2022. Tot. Est. Loss: $350.

A person was the victim of Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts on 08/31/2022. The listed victim reported that the catalytic converter was stolen from his Toyota Tundra overnight. Tot. Est. Loss: $500.

A person was the victim of Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts on 09/02/2022. An unknown suspect stole the catalytic converter off the victim’s truck overnight. Tot. Est. Loss: $900.

A person was the victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting on 09/03/2022. The subject walked into a store, removed a plastic bag from his shorts pocket, concealed multiple items, and then walked out of the business, making no attempt to pay for items. Tot. Est. Loss: $177.

Augustin, Renan, 44, was arrested on charges of Felony Battery on Black Olive Ave on 08/30/2022.

Minott, Christopher Gilbert, 43, was arrested on charges of Trespassing on W Commercial Blvd on 08/31/2022.

Thomas, Larry Lamoar, 32, was arrested on charges of Assault on Officer/Firefighter/EMT on W Commercial Blvd on 09/01/2022.

McKreith, Nicolette Brittany, 43, was arrested on charges of Warrant: violation probation, fraudulent use of credit card on N State Rd 7 on 09/02/2022.

Perez, Jennette, 43, was arrested on charges of Warrant: violation probation fraudulent use of credit card on N State Rd 7 on 09/02/2022.

Springer, Gordon Howard, 57, was arrested on charges of Conditional Release Violation on NW 57th Ct on 09/03/2022.
