As if we needed another reason to order pizza.

Pizza should be eaten one of two ways: hot out of the oven, or refrigerator-cold, preferably the day after it's purchased. Pizza Hut's team of engineers have improved upon option one with the chain's new delivery pouches.

The Hut spent the last two years perfecting the science behind the bags, and the result is pizzas that are delivered up to 15 degrees hotter than usual.

To celebrate the occasion, Pizza Hut created a limited-edition Pizza Parka that's made out of the same material as the bags: a 3M Thinsulate Insulation layer, like the kind you'd find in a winter jacket, which helps wick away moisture; a PET Aluminum layer; and a high-density polyester padding, like what you'd find in your attic.

All that jargon probably doesn't mean a ton to you, but just know that the parka kept a Floridian warm in a 23° F room, so I've got high hopes for its pizza-warming skills.

Throughout the month of October, anyone who orders a pizza from Pizza Hut's website or mobile app is entered to win one of these parkas, which has a plastic sleeve for your phone (and easy ordering access), "parmesan and pepper" pockets to stash snacks, and a "napkin gaiter" to keep your face warm. You can also tweet a flame emoji and pizza emoji to @PizzaHut to enter to win one the jackets.

Pizza Hut's boxes got an upgrade too: they're thicker with heat-trapping sides and a "crisp sheet" layered between the box and your pizza to keep the crust crispy while in transport.

More than 120,000 of the new bags have been shipped out to Pizza Hut restaurants across the country already, so if you order a pizza today, you can expect it to arrive extra hot.
